Welcome the phase of life know as "The Dirty 30's". Mysteriously overnight, everything changes. Parts of your body that have never hurt before start aching. You become intrigued by pants with an elastic waist band and shoes with velcro, thinking it might be a legitimate option. What hair you have left begins to sprout as gray. Physical activity is much needed and often recommended by a spouse, but unanimously shot down due to a depleting lack of motivation.
It seems like only yesterday we were sharing a toilet during freshmen year. Where has the time gone? I'm grateful for the occurrences in life that have brought us together. I look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate life. I hope this next season is one of great joy and accomplishment for you as a spiritual leader, a husband, and a father.
